At Pleasant Valley, we give our residents the rewarding gift of garden to gourmet, which is our version of the farm to table philosophy.
Our staff and residents love to maintain a robust garden year-round, located on our grounds just off the back patio. We plant and grow seasonal fruits and vegetables in the community garden. Once ripe, they’re hand-picked then utilized in recipes in our kitchen.

The practice of gardening can be therapeutic and refreshing for the mind and spirit of our residents — especially when they’re busy coaxing seeds into growth or engaging in a fierce pruning session. Whether it’s tending to fresh herbs, like basil, on the window sill, planting a lemon tree, or plucking a perfectly sweet summer tomato, we encourage a garden to table lifestyle, providing the opportunity for a truly delicious experience.
